Today is Martin Luther King Jr. Day. A day to think about your rights.
Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.
Life’s most persistent and urgent question, ‘What are you doing for others?
Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.
It is time to fight against these stings operations. They catch some good and some bad and we just put them all away; away for a LONG time. Injustice! Indeed, and yet we the people allow it to take place. As we allow the government to over-reach our freedoms are eroding. Privacy goes away, we are put away for our thoughts instead of our deeds, we incarcerate more instead of trying to reform or rehabilitate a person through other means. Society loses its empathy. To paraphrase MLK Jr., if we stay silent these things will continue. If we don’t try to stop the injustice others will be threatened. If we don’t help others, we will all eventually suffer.
Hebrews 10:24 (NIV):
24 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds,
I am here to help,
Samuel
