Guilty:
Surprised and Upset! A 35 year old IT Technician found guilty in Nov 2018 WA trial. Guilty of two charges but the jury was hung on the more serious Attempt Rape of a Child in 2nd Degree.
How about a 71 year old? Yes a 71 year old was found guilty. This is almost laughable. Another 70 year old in same county (in WA state) was also found guilty. Well, I guess less money they have to spend in an assisted living/retirement home.
Pastor nabbed. A 53 year old Canadian pastor found guilty in California.
Time Served! Out of NY (Albany) a judge finally saw the light in these sting operations and established a just and appropriate sentence for this 24-year old. So there is hope in losing you can still win.
Not Guilty:
Georgia – Not Guilty. Another 20 year old found not guilty out of Georgia.
In Texas – Not Guilty. A 22 year old man won his case in Texas.
The problem of Sin in Us
Romans 7:15-21 (NIV)
15 I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. 16 And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. 17 As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. 18 For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. 19 For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing. 20 Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.
Not everyone does what is good all the time. We ALL make mistakes.
John 8:7 (NIV)
7 When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, “Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.”
The young, the old, even pastors. Crazy as it may be.
HOPE:
Romans 15:13 (NIV)
13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)
11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Isaiah 30:18 (NIV)
18 Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you; therefore he will rise up to show you compassion. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for him!
Psalm 27:14 (NIV)
14 Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.
Psalm 71:14 (NIV)
14 As for me, I will always have hope; I will praise you more and more.
Prayers for HOPE this Advent season. For everyone who gets caught up in these stings and is sentenced or awaiting their sentence or trial. Everyone has sinned, everyone is guilty of something in life. Life is not without its difficulties. These stings are difficult. I don’t have the solution only the research. It is my hope that what you find on this website helps. Stay strong and find your anchor. We put our trust in God to help carry us through, no matter what the outcome. We will NOW walk through the valley of the shadow of death and we WILL fear no evil; God is with us, he comforts us.
With Faith & Hope,
Samuel
