Back to school time!

Time for the big stings! Several new stings are reeling in the predators left and right. Not to be outdone it appears New Jersey and Arizona jumped into the act capturing 24 in each of their stings. I’m thinking there must be some kind of quota. Some kind of goal to bring in > 20 for perhaps some extra bonus/cash or something. We are 3/4 the way through the year and the captures this year have well exceeded last years arrest. Something is up! I can’t quite explain it.

1 Peter 5:8 (NIV):

Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.

It is both cynical and sad at the same time.

I loosely track stings around the country but concentrate on Washington State where we have our own case to deal with. Here are the new updates to the site as well as some other items of note:

  • At bunch more stings in August/September have pushed things over 400 arrests for the year.
  • The http://www.icacarrests.com/ website appears to be down/gone. Some some links are now broken. I will see if I can post some related material/files I have saved. Some stuff will be lost.
  • I found some dated/newer ICAC Operational and Investigative Standards and posted them under the “Helpful Websites” section along with references to where these files came from (Public Domain).
  • At least 6 dead (out of 205) as a result of these stings in Washington State (4 suicide, 1 unknown, 1 killed in jail).

Stay strong. Don’t give up. Continue the fight.
